Works great with getalby.com wallet - it just pops up when I click the Lightning button in the post. Not sure how this differs from zaps, but seems to achieve the same purpose.

oh, is this nip57 for listing payees deets? i don't think any wallet has implemented it yet. i don't quite know whats zap other than ease of use and direct reward to the content such as this. Also, @npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s concept is interesting as it removes the control over devs and fully rewards creativity in an open field without favourtism - Youtube rewards content creators and evidently it drives people to provide better contents but still centralised, canva allows users to reward content creators through their premium package or alacarte, and the designs just keep getting better everytime. And designers have their own marketplace for users to pick and choose from (more use cases for devs to build)
Where can find examples of zap in action? Is it only on Damus? Non-apple user here. No idea what is this zap zap stuff all about?

You need a lightning: url handler on your device. https://www.walletofsatoshi.com/ for mobile or getalby.com on desktop for example.
Idk if there's any way to detect lightning: handler presence on web so we could display a prompt to install.

Can you add a configuration in settings for the default zap amount? Its set to 1 sat now which is a bit low. 😂

Can you make it display a QR instead of trying to open the link? Would be useful on desktop since most lightning use is on phones.
On the other hand... if people are just browsing through posts, do they bother to dig up their phone and open a wallet app every time they want to zap someone? Would be much easier to just install Alby or another wallet.
