i think that cards have been around too long now, and the war on cash has been won. Bitcoin is the only weapon left against again CBDCs now

🎯💯 Btc is the most important solution on the table atm. I have restricted my card use as much as I can, and right now I only use it 40% of the time. The rest I am either paying in sats or cash. Cash is great locally but for stuff like online payments it’s impractical. Plus a lot of places are going cashless in the name of convenience and security, not to mention examples like the one below 👇🏻

The security reason is a great one and I hope bitcoin can be part of the solution here. Imagine shops swapping BTC for cash: They tend to accumulate cash which makes them a juicy target for robberies but if they could work like ATMs handing out the cash, too, not only to card using clients like some supermarkets do, they could lower their risk. If only regulators wouldn't get in the way ...
I am sure if a middle ground solution could come that works like an atomic swap where you send btc but retailer gets fiat while giving you cash. I presume that shouldn’t be too complex to build or implement. 🤔
Yep. I have abolished credit cards completely. Use sats locally as well but vendors are limited. You can pretty much live on btc in El Salvador though. Loyalty cards are a weapon as well
