Affogato- an Italian coffee-based dessert. It usually takes the form of a scoop of plain milk-flavored (fior di latte) or vanilla gelato or ice cream topped or "drowned" with a shot of hot espresso.

Luckily I don't have to but it is just that good.
Affogato is one of my favorite ways to have both espresso and plain vanilla ice cream.
Italians know how to do coffee. No matter how hard I try I can't get an espresso to taste like the one from a bar in Italy.
