My eldest brother taught me to drive a car (I was eight years old).

I made it to grade 9 without being able to read. My good friend Paul helped me.

Oh, isn’t reading the best? Happy to hear this. I’ve been blessed to help others learn. Trust me, Paul is grateful 🥹

I blessed. Unfortunately my best friend Paul passed away many years ago. Took his own life. Didn't get a chance to help him in his hour of need.

I’m so sorry to hear that. 🫂

That is an awesome story, thank you for sharing. A little time spent, can sometimes have lifetime impact.

When I was about 9, my grandmother taught me to fold a fitted sheet. I used that knowledge regularly in my retail management career, believe it or not.

I also learned how to cook having grown up in a Cajun kitchen or two. That came in through all grandmas/grandpas, great grandmas/grandpas, aunts, uncles, parents, etc.

The enigma of the fitted sheet, that is a good one!

My father taught me to take pride in my work. I can now proudly look back on anything I’ve built to see it standing the test of time.

Pride in work is lacking today! Good one!
