You might be forgetting the fact that a Visa terminal loses money.

The point of a node is ensure that you can receive instant payments without permission.

That's the wrong question.

Running a routing node is not a realistic business model, but accepting payments using lightning is through your own node.

Consumers are not the target, businesses are.
