Yea. I just ported half of my react native app to progressive web app today.

What do you think the future of nostr apps looks like?

Why RN to PWA? I am thinking about porting from PWA to NA

PWA is the future, just needs to be not JS and not HTML and not CSS :)

Maybe, and also not web and not in a classic browser.

Could be, but how else do we get around walled gardens?

Running a program on your operating system.

Can people do that with an iPhone?

nQuiz will be a PWA

We won't touch private keys though, and the heavy lifting will be a back end API

I guess it's less a "nostr client" in this case and more a "nostrified app" (with dedicated relay whitelisted to signed up players)

Because best app is the browser?

There's a reason the best apps function in walled gardens too, so...

Isn't store distribution the main reason? Couldn't compiling a version-pinning browser together with an embedded default PWA link as a native be a solution?

Secure store is probably the biggest problem with PWA.

Then, performances

FirefoxOS thought this would be a thing once.

I remember.

PWAs have their place in the ecosystem. Maybe self hosted PWAs would work even better. Obviously you won't put your life savings into a PWA.
