No, but they're getting more accurate and predictive.

Russia went around promising military protection and arms exports to these sort of regimes, and then they got themselves bogged down in a forever-war in Ukraine, and now the USA can just do whatever it wants and Russia is looking like a very useless ally.

That is going to be important, going forward, in Iran. The USA has the only effective military in the world, at the moment, and they're on some sort of regime-change spree.

Russia has never interfered in American military campaigns and even supported them, so why would it be different with Venezuela? The only time Russia intervened was in the case of Yugoslavia, and that was done by Yeltsin — and he didn't manage to change anything.

In Syria, the U.S. was formally fighting ISIS, not the official Syrian government.

But Assad was a Russian ally and Russia lost a Mediterranean port.

They didn't lost the port. Russian activity is far less though.

Venezuela is one of many customers of the Russian military industrial complex. I know of no defensive agreement that would oblige Russia to intervene with military force and I’m not aware of any analysts expecting anything else from Russia w/r/t Venezuala.

Seems more of a rather shallow and reactive take to me, if I’m honest.

You keep on dismissing the fact that Russia has been fighting NATO via their Ukraine proxy for close to 4 years - a war provoked by the experts of the fighting “forever wars”.

Russia is free to exit Ukraine, immediately.

Russia has been canceling arms exports and has stopped sending out contractors. It needs everything it has, to just crawl forward in Ukraine.

USA wants the oil of Venezuela. We all know it (and which specific company was pushing for it). They had to get that first to begin to tell that they can do whatever they want. So far what success did they have in their regime change spree? So far it seems to me like panic moves because they are losing. And the regime change in Syria has been done by Turkey...

We should better wait 🤷

We'll see.
