I had this thought. It's a good idea.
That's how bribery works in the US. It's better to have them have a vested interest in Bitcoin so that they would smarten up about Bitcoin.
This one time in 2016, I donated bitcoin to Gary Johnson. It was a total waste of sats.
To make matters worse, some guy from the New York Times started asking me questions about it. I ignored him because it kinda freaked me out.

To be fair, proposing radically new government systems and thinking they wil work out of the box is plain naive IMO...
...that being said, to think that democracy had nothing to do with the Decline of the West is even more naive. Maybe those people need to explore the incentive structure of democracy just to have that in mind at least.
Hard pass personally. Let them have fiat if you are into giving politicians money.
Throwing my own response into the mix: there will only ever be 21 million bitcoin. 19.1 million have already been mined. The last bitcoin is expected to be mined in the year 2140 after we are all dead and gone. People take for granted that we aren’t far off from a level of scarcity that will make it significantly more difficult and expensive to get more. Be very careful about where you put them and who you give them to. Why fund the very system we are dismantling?
