There are nostriches that follow sex workers and in doing so validate the prodict of child abuse and molestation. Free speech is a double edged sword. It allows people to say things you don't like, it allows people to decide whether to listen to those things, and it allows people to defile themselves.
This is just the beginning - on a permissionless protocol, we will undoubtedly see so much awful stuff. How to handle this will be a huge challenge for #nostr

Platforms like this will attract those with heterodox views and also unfortunately a section of these (on both extremes of left and right) hate the Jews.
It’s just jealousy and insecurity at bottom. Read T Sowell’s essay “are Jews generic?” where he goes into detail on how many different peoples have been discriminated against who have acted as middlemen across the globe. Jews, Ibo Nigerian, Indians in South America, Lebanese etc etc

Disgusting what has happened to Norse culture and history over the last 1000 years. What little bits survived willful destruction by the Christians, are now being stolen and misused as symbols of hate. Now their original meanings and historical significance are being lost forever.
How many of these hateful idiots do you think know that many of the bits of history they are misusing as symbols of hate are from the writings of a Muslim? A Muslim who was happily welcomed and treated as one of their own by the vikings on top of that. Why? Because hospitality and kindness to others was a central part of the real culture they are destroying.
For people of that heritage today, all that is safe to publicly admit to liking from their ancestry is beer and sausage.

I wonder how much traction the conversations tab gets, its disorientating to look at sometimes, and I dont think you would have seen this before today if you kept to the posts page. There are plenty of racists on here if you dig a bit, whats interesting about nostr so far is by not following those accounts I dont really see it, the "web of trust" keeps that content out of my feed.
