One of the great joys of parenthood is telling completely made up stories at bed time, and then repeating them on request.

The delight they get is incredible - don't forget to do it.

I was getting so good at the stories, I wanted to test my powers, so I randomly made up a storie about two inanimate objects, a bin, and a cloth.

And thus, Binnie and Clothie was born.

17 episode later, all with intro music/singing and recorded for memories:

Binnie and Clothie World - was epic.

Even other stories that connected to B&C world were spun.

I should do children's books šŸ˜‚

"Do you remember that time when Binnie got tricked by Clothie to go on that ferris wheel, and finally overcame her fear of flying?"

"Or that time Binnie won a cereal contest and went on a rocket to space?"

- "Yeah, that was episode 12 wasn't it?"

"And wasn't it sad that fight they had and lost touch for so many years? 😭"

I know someone who started recording these bedtime stories and putting them on youtube. I believe he even had someone draw pictures for some of them that go along with the stories.

We have Moritz the rainworm (Regenwurm in German) and make up stories each evening on request :)

That's beautiful man.

I was too scared to do it, if I'm honest.

A wasted opportunity.

I’m ready for this šŸ˜‚

I would do this with my 2 older boys (now 26 and 23) when they were toddlers.

The sheer joy on their faces when I got to certain parts of a made up story was indescribably intoxicating šŸ„°šŸ’«
