Keep going. I went through the whole journey of self- sovereignty, nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll is the best thing after bitcoin. Never looked back. Onwards, fren.

yes, i needed something else to focus on besides regurgitating the latest podcast about bitcoin and BTCTCs :-D
Start9 kinda makes me feel like i'm taking the easy route, but i would be fooling myself if i think i'm going to set up a linux server and install the stuff individually.
so it's really filling a tech void left behind after leaving a Oracle database job and using Putty to run simple scripts
i haven't quite figured out how to connect with my android phone via Tor but that's next
Agreed. The Docs section of S9 makes it very easy. I had 0 experience with tech stuff and Linux and ended up flashing a Linux distro to laptop myself and learned along the way, all because of S9 . If you are going down this path, might as well give GrapheneOS a try on a Google Pixel. Quite nice the feeling to be free from third party servers and OS.
Ok Rodrigo, you may have set me down my next tech challenge.
i've heard that Graphene doesn't work great with GPS tho... but i don't actually need GPS and maybe need to stop relying on it.
if Youtube doesn't work on Graphene, that would also be an added benefit.
although long road trips are nice with GPS and podcasts, i don't have any more of those planned for a while.
you'd be surprised how easy it is to get around just by spending a couple bux on a map at a gas station tho. most of the time if it's a place you never been before and it turns out great you will get to know all the landmarks anyway. in most places, the street signs are informative enough to interpret the lines on the map.
so i was recommended "Organic Maps" app by someone. it even has some hidden hiking trails on the Map.
i had to do some long roadtrips the last couple months and the Google Maps algorithm actually recommends a lot of really pretty back roads. I stopped taking interstates a couple years ago, so i'm just amazed at how the trips i used to take are so much more interesting now
Google maps work on Graphene, just takes a bit longer to ping you. YouTube also works. Onwards!
