I have a hunch this is because notes are being sorted by the users public key on some relays. So when you request notes from that relay, you get all of the notes for a single user, not sorted by the date they were created.

It’s been like that for months… and as you might expect it’s not my fault.

You could try unfollowing or muting me but you’ll get all the notes from the next user so it’s not a real fix.
