When it comes to videos:
How many MB can I upload max or how many minutes?
There are "NIP-96" servers and "Blossom Servers" and "Built-in media servers " - I m referring to Amethyst setup for example - is there any guide what to use and how? What each server of all those do differently? Does it matter who owns them?
There are a lot of paid "services", nostr.build, nostr.wine etc. Subscribing to them does it make any difference in the experience of accessing nostr clients? You can upload more and lengthy content if you subscribe to nostr.build for example or does it serve only as a cloud to store your content?
I m mostly use primal (because it's easier) but when I m giving a "thumbs up" on Amethyst, this doesn't appear on Primal, so when I give 👍 from Primal, the note in Amethyst has 2 👍, from me. I don't get that.

Most free video services are capped in file size. I think nostr build integrated with some clients and allow up to 4mb file sizes - or maybe they increased that? I don’t remember. Paid nostr.build plan does allow for much larger file sizes.
In terms of blossom servers I think those are mostly demo. Primal does have one but I’m unsure of caps.
I don't think that blossom is running as demo. Primal uses them as default.
Is it not the point of blossom to have fallbacks? What good is a single server without a fallback?

For videos make sure to compress them and you'll get a lot more time. Two good options on Android.

Proton video compressor - closed source, not s lot of options, maximum compression. I've seen 100mb videos to down to 1-2mb with this one.

In the country that I m currently living there is no Nostr relay.
How to set up one so there are notes only in the native language, I mean can be "IP specific" relays?
Are there any services to "provide" this setup and are there any ready made filters to exclude porn material for example or if I set one relay I have to check every note myself? If this is how it's working. I don't really know.

What’s the best way to integrate lightning wallets across platforms?
You just have to add it once to your profile and it’ll show up everywhere. Primal might be a bit different and Damus since they also both have built in wallet partners. If you already got a ln address through either one, you might still be able to set your own.

This is the only one i can answer.
On citrine, you set up your note storage.
Basically you set up npubs that are yours or people you like to follow
It will store some metadata and you can acess those notes when your offline.
I believe the oposite is also true you can send a note ofline to be stored on citrine untill its online and thus relay info to other relays.

Screenshot 2 i think you just go to personal relay and paste your relay on "local relay" slot on primal or amethyst, others might have a slot for it aswell.
Online relays start with wss://.
Puting it on local relay means you get a saved copy to your citrine allowing for ofline viewing of your citrine saved notes
I take it Primal is emulating the Twitter platform. So are their other Nostr platforms that serve another purpose, like emulating Instagram or Substack? And which has the biggest audience?

There is olas intagram like experience there are others aswell.
Biggest audience, that does not exist its highly dependent on the relays used.
(Theres no global relay, only relays the app and you set up to cennect to)
Yes, there are a ton of “other stuff” clients. We have kind of crappy versions of many 🤣
Zap.stream is the best example I think of other stuff - in this case streaming!
Nostrapps.com has an OK list of things to explore.
I don’t think we have a good Substack replacement, I wish we did - nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft started on something like that at one point but I have no idea what happened to it. There’s highlighter.com too but I haven’t tried it in a while.
I just created openux.app which looks nothing like nostr social apps but uses relays and events under the hood.
But yeah there are hundreds of things to try!

I'm the odd bunch who frequents nostr by deleting account/logging out and tying one public key to my frequent postings. Is there a way to amplify this privacy by allowing rotating keys (i.e disallowing duplicate key re-usage) so I don't need to pull the delete/logout n signup again plug each time? I plan to lurk but do my part as pseudo-anon helping grow things there possible yet do not feel comfortable nor trivially attach to followers(ik it helps algos but idc about it) or zapping (yet). I understand this would be hard if not anti-thesis to primal n other clients, who are moving towards curated premium subscription models. Do such clients exist? Tired of using primal lmao guess I'm projecting
I designed such a thing but it was not implemented in any client as far as I know - the main concern was spam.
I started using Nostr this week after a couple of failed attempts a couple of years ago. I saw a mention of the Primal app from nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqy8hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddaksqgz04q9r6wr0rgs5kq5jrlrmk24sc9wdf6dgkrl5lrz8w0usucdnzysrs2ka and thought I would give it another try and it seems much easier to use. I'm still learning my way around, but I enjoy it much more than X, a lot more useful information. Thanks for your help and I'm sure I'll have questions later.

I've been here for months, never get replies. Don't know why. I follow a bunch of people and subjects, I put # on most of my comments and nothing. No interaction. I do appreciate the information tho. and us old folks need a step by step instruction on how to create zaps. Haven't the foggiest how to even start the process. I left Gab a few months a go and most times Nostr doesn't cut the amount of info I was getting on Gab...but now gab is full of folks from X who are such pro-Trumper normies I would never go back (much less what I found out about Torba) but here, it seems a better way, on ramp to more news and global comments would be nice.
People who have been around tend not to discover new people unless they are interacting with them. I’d focus more on replies.

Is there a good and comfortable client like Husky at Pleroma or Tusky at Mastodon? Because I tried everything, they are still not ready and they freeze when scrolling.
I’m not familiar with those. For iOS primal and Damus are good. For Android: primal and amethyst. For web: jumble.social has been good
