I agree with this. The framing would be bad and could be used against bitcoin, but I fail to see how this would be any different than saying a car that was used to run over people was a weapon? I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, and bitcoin will just keep going regardless of what people want to call it. I might be wrong, but they’ve tried everything and it hasn’t worked.

I’m more concerned about them tieing it to a nation we are in a hot war with, and using that to wrongly link anyone who uses it as supporting the enemy, or any enemy of the state. This is a story that the majority of people would fall for.

Great convo everyone honestly love hearing different personas

A car is traditionally understood by everyone as a transportation device.

Bitcoin is still not commonly “understood” so it is very important that people’s impression of it is not made in a negative light. You are considering the battle is already won. We need to consider the battle as just beginning.

We must be swift, keen and fierce in our approach to FUD.

I agree with you that the battle is just beginning and very far from being win, I’m just saying this particular issue doesn’t concern me as much as others.

Won

A hammer can be a weapon, a flowerpot can as well. String can be a weapon and so can toilet water.

Fiat money is currently being used as a weapon, so why can't bitcoin? Anything can be used AS a weapon but that doesn't mean it is one.

A true weapon should have but one purpose, death.

Bitcoin is for those seeking life.

We should start using our 🧠 as weapon.

Many of us do we made it to this platform 🙏🏽

Words are our most important weapon. The stories we tell will win the next war. We will never have enough weapons. We can hide, but that just prolongs the inevitable. It will be our ability to speak, to tell, and to convince that will determine our success. It’s our only hope.
