Nostr Web Client

I’m really enjoying the Nostur desktop app. It’s the first native desktop app I’ve been able to try because I still have an Intel Mac, and the Nostr apps I’ve found in the App Store require Apple silicon. On Nostur, the left side of the app is your feed, and then the right side opens up tabs when you click on posts and profiles. Makes it easy to keep a thread open while still browsing. #[0] is there a way to zap on desktop other than using NWC? The other wallet apps in settings are mobile apps. It would be good if the desktop app could show a QR code invoice so I can pay the zap from my mobile wallet.

I’ll look into showing the QR, should be possible. I was using BlueWallet desktop before NWC.

Good call on BW desktop. Just tried it and it worked great. The QR would still be a great option if you decide to implement it. But this works too. Thanks!

btw, you said you are running it on an Intel Mac? Because last time I tried I couldn’t figure out how to make it available for Intel and I don’t have an Intel to test. Turns out it already works? Are you using the non-app store version?

Correct I’m using the non-app store version downloaded from nostur.com. The version in TestFlight says it requires Apple silicon, but the direct download worked fine. I’m on macOS 13.4.1

#[1] jumping on this… notes with multiple @ seem to mismatch the @ if that makes any sense (plebs turn into notes, or into other plebs)

Also, option to go full screen on iPad landscape would be great (hide the tabs) let the content fill the screen, let the content be king.

Last but not least, any chances of having .m3u8 files linked be played by a media player.

Gonna travel back in time to find 16 year old me, play him this track and tell him it was all recorded and mixed on a computer that fits my pocket on free software.

Another last, also option to filter out replies from main feed (show posts only) would be great. Sometimes all I want is content.

This one I know because I had the same question only to find out it already exists 😂 Long press where it says “following” and then you can hide replies. Repeat to show them again.
