Not sure I want it tbh.

The metadata about who trades with who, when would be entirely public, even if trade details are encrypted. Could be interesting as purely an order book where you have ephemeral keys for each trade and never re-use!

I think I convinced myself I do want it while writing this 😅

Hey #[3] how’s atomic swaps coming for btc/xmr?

Still coming along, have heard they're very close to being feature complete and ready for mainnet.

Code here: https://github.com/farcaster-project

Neat neat. Alsooo, I was thinking about media. And AI and deepfakes, seems like we should be uploading the hashes of media content we post to nostr no? Since it’s hosted externally and subject to change on that end depending on the host, could clients auto check the hash included in the note versus the media file and warn if it doesn’t match or changes in the future?

But idk maybe hosts arbitrarily change resolution or other stuff.. this is kind of reminding me of earlier talk of building a code hosting repository on nostr

I believe that eventually there will be a Bitcoin exchange on Nostr, but it should be exactly as you suggested: encrypted and without metadata.

Is anyone working on the metadata issue?

I think it can be done on upper layer Damus's private Zaps & text with that is encrypted
