Thought for the day: I think the cricket ball is the most beautifully crafted item in all of sport. Internally, it is 2 halves of spherical cork that are then covered with 2 pieces of leather and sewn together.

As a spin bowler im fond of the Dukes County International Red Cricket Ball.

The stiching holds up real nice for extra turn off the pitch.

But it's bloody hard to get anything other than a kooka ball down here....

That was an interesting read. Nice one🙏🏻.

I'm just watching our Test against India. Scores exactly level in the 1st innings but we're only 4 down.

I think golf balls are also cork no ?

I don't think so. They are full of little tiny bits of elastic band type stuff.

Recent issues with Dukes balls going out of shape, I wonder what’s changed…

They're always very changeable from batch to batch. Obviously, they should be completely uniform but they're seemingly not🤷🏻‍♂️. In the last Test I think they used 3 different balls during one day😳😂.

Oh wow. It's like the luxury version of a baseball. I love the stiching on it.

Do they make these as stick shift knobs?

Not as far as I'm aware, but you could always just buy one and drill a hole in it🥳.

I like cricket 🏏 but dont think 🤔 most people in America even know what the sport is let alone how much skill goes into creating a 🏏 ball.
