Does anyone know anything about red light therapy? Is that legit?
I'm considering a red light sauna but wanted to get some feedback from #plebs out there.

Renoted because I also want to know 👀
Which one of them? Red light has several uses and functions at this point. Ive never heard of red light saunas though... until now. 😃
Do tell. I've seen some marketed for cosmetics, "reduces wrinkles", but I've also seen claims of muscle recovery and inflammation reduction.
But what's the effective light intensity, are these saunas just gimmicks? Inquiring minds want to know.
I use a red light mat. It is hard to tell if it does anything because I do a lot of things for recovery.
I think I've seen something like that on Amazon. They have some mats you can lay on, others are like a sleeping bag.
I want to believe. Lol. The other side of me thinks that would be super hot and possibly electrocute me. I see the mat and I think of my flat top stove lighting up.
Of course!
Humans where made to spend long hours in the sunlight!
I sometimes use a reptile uvb lamp when I spend long hours indoors/ at my desk.
I place it near my feet and use a lot of sunscreen lol. (No need to place it on injured/ affected area since it helps your entire body.)
Uvb light has red light plus all other sunlight spectrum light.
It helps with a lot of things including focus/ recovery post workout/ and overall health.
Highly recommend.
Consult a doctor or something if you feel the need to do so.
Very cool. So you've noticed a difference? How long are you using it in one sitting?
If I've gone without sunlight for a while I'll notice a difference in less than 30 minutes.
Normally it takes a couple hours for peak effects to be noticable.
Might be common knowledge but:
Amino acids/iodine rich foods/ vit c, k, and D3 as well as probiotics all increase the effectiveness of sunlight.
Not common to me. Thanks.
