FWIW, I don't think you can be free and poor, because if you're free you cannot be poor.
How so? I dont need material wealth to be free.
I was trying to figure out a way to word this. What I mean is, if you are free then that is axiomatically the opposite of poverty regardless of relative wealth. Freedom can be a consequence of wealth but the state of poverty inhabits the body of no free man.
