The game is so clearly over for fiat, but it's gonna go on for so much longer.

it can be wrapped up overnight if people are aware of what’s going on

Around my office we often talk about how if the average american understood how inflation actually works there would definitely be riots. People really have no idea, even very educated people. I explained inflation in the longest conversation I ever had with my father a few weekends ago. He was a very successful office pleb and smart as hell, but didn't understand it at all. By the end he understood and I think I saw a glimmer if worry in his face, I'm not sure I've ever witnessed him learn something new and react to it.

People underestimate how long it takes for an empire to collapse. They wait around for a single massive event, not realizing that the collapse is already happening and likely started before they were born (Sherman Act, central banking, Great Depression, 2008, etc).

That’s kind of what I thought about the TV show “Yellowstone” a few years back. Unfortunately, sometimes things stick around longer than they should. Opting out of fiat is so much harder than opting out of “Yellowstone” though.

Stable coins will keep fiat toilet paper on life support for the foreseeable future.
