Just models for now. Startups are pitching it. It actually sounds possible.
Kinda doubt it...
LLM's are good at synthesizing stuff that already exists. Part of being a PhD is you're pushing the frontier of knowledge; you're trying things that wouldn't necessarily occur to an AI that's just synthesizing vast amounts of information.
IDK... "PhD in what" is probably a good framing question here. Also most PhD's are cheaper than that.
I guess it was a good decision not to do a PhD after all.
