Okay so let's step this up.

This won't happen in the immediate future, but it's very doable in the medium term.

Selling phones with a fork of GrapheneOS focused on Bitcoin and Nostr.

You can have the choice at checkout: vanilla GrapheneOS or PlebOS.

It'll all be open source too ofc. So the techies can install it themselves.

It's getting more interesting and exciting by the day

We may blow up the world one day

(That day I show screenshots and brag that I was posting among you legends)

Excellent idea nostr:npub17rlc0emedw5xljztfqrmykjaacsx6ujvdas64zznjadrnhhwlavq4jjtgg seeing as Daniel McCay stepped down it would be nice to have an actively developed fork of Graphene if things go pear shaped with it. I'm confident nothing will happen, but options are good as well! Would also be a good rallying point around #nostr too as the idea was birthed here on the protocol and would have positive knock-on effects as it indirectly shows the broader privacy community has a home here and it's not just all about BTC. So added marketing, it's a win-win for all!

You got a pool of people from the community who might be able to contribute to the development of PlebOS if you need the help since it's open source.

LFG! Wishing you success!

This is one of my primary goals here: to help out GrapheneOS upstream financially. They need money for devs. I already pledged to share 10% of each preloaded phone with them. Hopefully can setup split pay and automate the entire process and have receipts on-chain.

LN I am unsure if it's feasible, I tried an LNBits extension that's meant to do that but couldn't get it to work, but even if not I'll keep the sats aside, put them on-chain, send to their public donation wallet.

Or if GrapheneOS sets up a lightning wallet I'll zap em directly and they can verify.

And yes once the core concept is proven, the open source element is key. The community is the strength. Some amazing gigabrain builders here.

100%!

I'd love something like Framework laptops but for smartphones.

That would be amazing. I have a Framework laptop and I love it.

Creating custom modular hardware like that would require significant capital investment of course but producing a secure PlebOS is very possible without loads of money thanks to the amazing work of the GrapheneOS team.
