With squats do you breath in as you squat down or breathe out?

With presses do you breathe in as you lift up or you breathe out?

I feel like my natural inclination is the opposite of what may be the correct pattern. I need guidance here from the experts.

Exhale through the tension. Exhale coming up from a squat. Exhale pushing up.

Weighted squats?

You breath in before you squat down. Put your hands in the sides of your stomach and breath in in a way that will push your fingers out. This is the bracing you want to hold for the entire squat.
