hmmm it's giving me an issue. Amber prompts me about permissions, and after accepting Olas stays stuck on the login screen. If I tap Login again, Amber prompts me a second time. Using just relay.nsec.app
The purists wouldn't put it into an app either. It should be like Bitcoin cold hardware. Or at least an option. I suspect that will happen in time.
You going to go into your safe and pull out your cold storage nsec every time you want to send a note or send a reaction? 🤣
I actually have a wallet sized hardware device that I'd like to use. But yes, I would prefer to have that option.
But I also think of future scenarios where someone like the US president or White House has an official Nostr nsec. It's a joke now only because it's so niche. Everyone having everything on it (which seems to be the desire of many devs) would change the stakes massively IMO.
In that regard, IMO, they'd have an nsecbunker with policies and rules for which apps have what permissions.

Nsecbunker is...broken IMO. It needs some love. I would run a bunker from another application if you have a computer like a desktop or laptop that's always on. You can use nak or JeffG or Alex Gleason's apps.

I shut it down a while ago; I don't want people giving me their nsecs, not even if they are encrypted -- it's an experiment that went wrong and could have harmed nostr.
The only reason that UI is still online is because it can be used to administer people own's bunkers and deploying it is a PITA; I should just remove that "you can buy one here" thing.
Self-host is the way; don't give your keys to anyone.
Specially not on January 3! 😂
