After getting excited over fungi that turned out to be nothing special last week, I was pretty hyped to find pretty lion's mane & pink oysters at the store today. They always seem to sell out here.

Are you going to grow some too?

Hope too eventually. I haven't been very successful with mushrooms yet, but the battle continues

I need to try again too been busy doing other things and in the past the slugs ate everything anyway.

However after reading Mycellium Running and reading its suggestion of cardboard as a substrate (it discourages mold etc but the mycelium generally like it) I did pretty well.

So if you have any pink oyster mycelia strands (or mushroom bits you think might have have some developed spores in) boil a kettle pasteurise some cardboard it and give it a go. 🙂

How will you prepare them?

Probably just sauted with butter & garlic. I'm a lazy cook 90% of the time 😅

How did you prepare them?

Just sauted with butter, garlic, and salt. Added a little lemon juice to finish.
