Being realistic of course, how many hours a week should a single young man be working?

80 +/- 20

It all depends on what else he has on his plate and what kind of work it is.

Does he go to college, does he work in a diamond mine? 😅

If you have the time, at least 40. You’re only young once and you may not be able to function at the same level in a couple decades. Speaking from experience. 😁

You have to carve out social time. I'd say 40-50 hours of work and 10+ hours research into self-improvement for your job/career per week.

80 plus

30 max. Realistically.

It depends.

What are you working for?

How quickly do you want to get to what you're working towards?

How much do you need to produce to live your life?

How much free time do you want to have to do things you enjoy?

There is a sweet spot in there somewhere and it might not just be the hours but what you do as work.

You are your own boss and your own employee.

40 hours for something that pays bills. 20 hours for yourself

As much as he needs to pay his bills, not take on unnecessary debt, and stack sats.

I agree. And then 10+ extra hours per week for low-time preference self-improvement.

Bingo!

No more than 40h

0-80, depending on what he's doing and if he has a specific goal to hit.

0 is nearly always too few.

80 is often too much but sometimes a necessity.
