Trump doesn't know what a 51% attack is.
I don't remember where I saw it but I think someone described what it would take to do a 51% hash rate attack and it was prohibitively expensive, even for the US government.... just to have temporary control of the network.
I would think it would be easier (and more beneficial) for the US government just to get out of Bitcoin's way altogether.
Imo the greatest threat is these cantillionaire corporations buying up coin with fake money which you know will be used to create a centralized surveilled, permissioned and censored "bitcoin-backed" fake bitcoin currency system.
Threat to who? They are draining wealth from fiat and putting wealth into bitcoin…it doesn’t change bitcoin or steal from anyone on a bitcoin standard. This type of speculative attack was predicted 10 years ago…it was inevitable.
