I derped but I see what you mean now. Signal good for secure text off NOSTR. Telegram for wider adoption perhaps, fairly secure. On NOSTR, how about OxChat? I'm one of those lucky few for whom 0xChat never worked... Signal and Telegram are good for community building until something better comes along...
There is also Chorus, which is a nice (and newer) Nostr app: https://chorus.community/
I've started some communities here but haven't done much with them...yet...
