What kind of trees are those in the back? They seem like an awesome privacy barrier.

They definitely are! Mom says they’re cedars.

See that fence in the back right that intersects them? When Mom moved in about 5 years ago, the cedars were only about a foot taller than the top of that fence.

She didn’t know. They match what the Oriental Arborvitae looks like in this graphic I found… and they grow well up here in British Columbia.
