I agree there are many great options, the fj has been on my list for some time now. We opted for a lexus ux hybrid over a fully electric vehicle. I must say for now I would rather purchase another hybrid before purchasing something fully electric. From what I have been reading Toyota had made good progress in their solid state batteries. They have reported ranges of over 700 miles.

I think if you take all the political incentives out of the mix of the EV industry. More work would go into building even more efficient HEV's
