I just heard someone claim in a Twitter space that RFK did *not* say he will “back the dollar” with #Bitcoin
But that is *exactly* what he said.
“The Kennedy administration will begin to back the U.S. dollar with real, finite assets such as gold, silver, platinum & Bitcoin.”
Basically nonsense. Which one is it? Scarce and non scarce backing? Saving the dollar? Bla bla. Does a guy, running for President of the very system that Bitcoin fixes, have a conflict of interest?
How about we back it with something tangible that doesn't require a massive communications network to be useable. Something like gold.
That demonstrates an incredible ignorance of what Bitcoin is or intends to do. Basically like saying they will back the carriage with a car. The car is the carriage. Bitcoin is the money. Fake money shouldn’t be “backed.” 🤡
Exactly! I'm sorry, but many seem FAR too optimistic when it comes listening to this man.
"Backing" is unnecessary and stupid. Just use bitcoin and forget the flim-flam.
