A Bitcoiner friend of mine, sent me a Swedish version of Shawn Bakers The Carnivore Diet. Giving #carnivore another attempt, for long term optimal health and energy, but this time I wont go as extreme as before. Will do 5/2 or such, just adding in more carnivore meals per week. But still eating normal with friends and on weekends now and then. So this week I had 2,5 days of carnivore, then of course pizza on Bitcoin Pizza Day. One of the main reasons is to get rid of my sugar cravings and even if I had a pizza, I could avoid the temptations of milkshake and nutella/banana pizza and sugary drinks.

For me, full-on carnivore is too much. I tried it, and it’s helpful, but I too felt that it got in the way of enjoying a regular family meal, almost daily, with the kids.

Optimal health is having dinner together as a family, and you can still manage a keto-friendly diet that way. So enjoy the pizza day! Additionally, there seems to be some benefit in allowing your body to experience a little inflamation and stress from time to time, which is why fruits and veggies, in limited quantities, can be beneficial for most of us (if you can find mostly clean versions of said produce).

Yes, same thoughts. The idea; never eating a certain something again… Makes full-on carnivore unattractive. But, the health benefits IS attractive. Only thing I have noticed with people who only eat meat for years, is they become even more sensitive to gluten and other stuff, if they go back. But… If you allow yourself to have it twice or so per week, you should be able, at least in theory, to get 75% of the benefits on 5/2 + get better overall built up protection for anti-nutrients and social boosts at event. I’m excited to give this a shot! 😎
