The AR gets all of the love and attention in the West, but in most of the world, an AK variant is all the exists. Given the widespread availability of the 7.62x39mm cartridge, I recommend everyone have at least one AK in their lineup as you start to build beyond your first rifle and handgun.

Well, unfortunately, most countries consider this a weapon of war and make it near impossible to get legally.
