i agree, and also much less adventurous. not excitable about anything.

They are growing up in dystopian times where jokes are perceived to be either; too racist, too sexist, too offensive or too discriminatory. As a result a simple joke can get you cancelled or worse, imprisoned.

Everyone is too defensive and uptight to have a sense of humor. It sucks that George Carlin died because I feel like he wouldn't stand for this bullshit. A 60 min Carlin set would shock these people back into reality, and remind them that it's OK to laugh.
