Sometimes it's surprising we even have roads.

Sometimes it's surprising we even have roads.

🤦‍♂️
Well most of it roadways were built pre 1971. Not sure we would if we had to build them now. Peak fiat world
7.5 billion would have bought a lot of generators with fuel to charge the EV’s
A billion each, cheap
Roark/Reardon/Dagny…. That’s how we have anything… sometimes they were working for large portions of the population, sometimes working against… but without the builders, the it’d be nothing
Probably because most roads are built by the companies that need them. At the moment they just act as if the state builds roads with taxes.
But if a road is built to a warehouse/server farm/office the company pays it inderictly through taxes.
They are the ones who wanted it and payed for it, so they actually built it. The government just was the useless middle management acting as if they are needed and did something.
Reminds me of the time we gave all the telcos billions of dollars to roll out broadband to rural areas, and then the promptly *did not do that*
🤣🤙
Imagine how much worse it would be if they haven't fast-tracked it.
