So next week I'll actually be presenting at the Halal Money conference in the Bay Area insha Allah.

I have a session where I'll be talking about "digital assets" 😒 but obviously this will be about Bitcoin.

I only have a 20 minute session, so I'll do 15 minute presentation and 5 minutes for questions.

This only leaves me time for about 5 or 6 slides, and keep in mind that most of these folks are suits working in finance industry.

What graphics would you recommend I show? I think at a minimum I'll definitely show this one:

Maybe I should show the historical chart of the Bitcoin price? The purchasing power of the dollar? What do you think?

I would do no question and tell them to follow up with you after the event if they want to know more. Then give them a QR code with the majlis website and you npub

So toward the end of the conference, I have another session, but it's just a Q&A, so no presentation needed for that one. Will be perfect for people to come by and ask follow up questions.

If they are from the finance industry, to them it would seem odd that you are tacking crypto under fiat. To them and their world its def not true.

Yeah that's true. It will likely be hard for them to grasp but I definitely need to distinguish bitcoin from crypto. That should be one of the core take home messages at least, I think.

Show them a slide. A derivation from Saifedean where he shows what Bitcoin solves. What problem was it engineered to solve. Then it will make sense for them to view it as a product with a very high demand.

This is good! Thank you. Will be using these. I have to mention the point about custody. Will be hard for finance practitioners to understand but it has to be said.
