Should I get a kindle?

I still prefer real books than digital ones but I confess that carrying heavy books when I have to move it’s not good. 😔

They’re good but it does creep me out that amaz*n is tracking what I read and how fast and when etc

I still love the feel of an old book but moving them is a huge pain so got rid of most of them.

I have an older kindle. I have never finished reading a book on it. The newer ones are much, much nicer. But, I'd recommend buying a used one, trying it out, and returning it if you can't just keep "turning" pages on a book you already know you like and read often/again.

I really like mine because I can get most books I want for free and when I get them that way nobody is tracking what I'm reading.

I've never connected mine to Amazon or directly to the internet

I use the paper white kindle. Screens are painful to read on in my opinion.

I listed this on the NOSTR marketplace last week.

Well kinda - I just posted it on my page. 😆

I have a kindle already and won this Kobo at a golf tournament last year!

Basically just been turned on and off since then haha.

Yeah. I prefer real books, too. They smell nice, they feel special. The weight is the only drawback for me. I confess, I was a librarian for a good part of my life. Another confession: My husband and I switched phones today, so this account has been hijacked!

Think of Kindle as complementary, not supplementary to books 🙂

I’ve been using a Kindle for a long time and I’d recommend it if you want get an ereader.

If you want something more open or don’t want to support Amazon Kobo readers get good reviews.
