I’m on day 8 of a carnivore diet. I did keto/ low carb for years with higher sugar intake at holidays. In videos, I keep hearing you’re not as hungry on carnivore and most people eat once or twice a day. I’m MORE hungry on carnivore. My question is why? I’m not really experiencing keto flu or oxalate dumping. Looking for help/advice. TIA

Eat more fat. And salt.

Having trouble figuring out how to get more fat. I’ve never liked fat (like on steak). What are your fat ideas?

Cook in butter. Buy fattier steaks. Make bone broth and use any fats you don't like to eat in that, too.

It takes a bit, but if you stick with it long enough, your taste buds will start functioning again and fat will taste sweet and delicious like you've never experienced before. It was rather strange when that happened to me.

Thanks. We’ve been butter only for a long time. That’s where most of my fat (I think) is coming from. Gonna need fattier steaks. I have filets and strip but guess I need ribeye. Good to know I can get used to the fat on them.

I think this is quite normal. The phase when you eat less comes later on. First few weeks I ate a lot. Important is to stick to meat, fat or eggs as Beave said.

Give it another two three weeks. Maybe even more, those things are very individual.

Bacon, eggs, butter, sausages, salmon is full of fat...

Thanks. Bought salmon yesterday but the rest are staples.

Well I think especially in early phase is super important to stick to something you like, regardless of volume.

So go for fish, chicken or whatever you prefer and don't worry about how much you eat.

Have you eaten enough meat?

I eat bacon and eggs with cheese for breakfast and two meats for dinner.

Carnivore isn't for everyone. I liked it for a while. I was doing OMAD but eating a ton. With bacon, beef, eggs, lots of butter. It was good for a time. Now I don't eat much meat.

Cheap hamburger. The ground beef you find that's 73/27 is great. But 80/20 is good, too.
