Not a fiat maxi but I live in both worlds, because I'm still new. It takes work. Mostly because my day job is still in the fiat world, and so are my debts.

Are you a Bitcoin Maxi? Buy, earn, spend, and save in Bitcoin?
Or, a Fiat Maxi? Only concerned with NGU?
Which way anon?

I get that. Not throwing sand here. I have a little more flexibility due to circumstances.
But everyone should strive to live on the Bitcoin Standard as much as they can.
I admire everyone building here. Makes me extremely bullish! Keep building 💪 You'll get there!
I have a lot of flexibility, but my clients don't
The last part of your post really resonated. I've been trying to put my finger on why I still can't quite get over the line with thinking in Bitcoin.
Jeff is the person whose words I go back to time and time again for ultimate clarity. His perspective is unique in this space, and while I find myself transfixed on how he presents his ideas, I still think in fiat.
My debts are denominated in fiat, and still have control over so much of my day to day life. Bitcoin is probably the only way out I can see to settle them, so the correlation to the dollar/pound will remain relevant until they're gone.
I hinted at this when I spoke with him and used the analogy of the Titanic. I've secured my lifeboat and know I can be safe and have to get off, but I still feel tethered to the ship while it's sinking.
Thinking in fiat is hard to stop when you're 52 like me lol
I still price my jerky in fiat prices too, and there's people out there who yell and scream not to. IDC, it's still early days even 12 years into bitcoin being a thing.
I haven't had much free time to do so, but I would love to convert all my web clients to btc, but most are practically boomers.
Everyone's on their own timescale, and we're still very early. We've also got a lifetime of fiat -programming to unravel from.
I run a small business and have considered offering btc as a payment option. Even if nobody takes it up, it's still out there in the ether. Perhaps that's the point, as Jeff says, be the change you want to see in the world.
I wouldn't say that pricing things in dollars ATM is a bad thing. You have to have a scale of value based on the world we live in.
I'm saying that you can make small steps everyday to move your life, and others, to a Bitcoin Standard.
Ah, my bad. You're way ahead of the curve then really!
I didn't start using / learning bitcoin until 2021 and even then it was just trying to fiddle with an on-chain wallet and buying stuff from people in person, my lightning skills are still shoddy and I only started that in 2024

I wasn't complaining. I have a good system (if you check out the site, you'd see). I hate Alby and I'm not looking to pay for a full suite WooCommerce monthly subscription addon for just a few orders.
Dude, I haven't gotten completely past it either. It's been ingrained in us our whole life. But we have to work at getting past it.
I try to remove myself from the system on a daily basis. It's not always possible. We still live in a fiat world. I get that.
However, if a merchant accepts Sats, ..I pay with Sats. If I can pay a bill with Sats,.. I pay with Sats. I keep 100%of my value in Bitcoin at all times. If I need to turn some into Fiat because there's no other way, ATM, to get around it, then I do.
I support merchants that accept Bitcoin over a fiat merchant.
If we all got on this standard,.. the world would change far more rapidly. Imo. Businesses would want to start accepting it, and quite a few would start demanding it.
That gets Bitcoin to the world reserve currency.
Just my thoughts on it.
