i actually think ‘likes’ are not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, it’s really never that serious.
making users feels bad for not being #onlyzaps isn’t a good way to keep them wanting to come back everyday.
let people like things!

I agree!
Agreed
THIS IS A GOOD TAKE AND ANTHROPOLOGICAL INSIGHT
THANK YOU
As a complete beginner, I was nervous about investing in crypto. But Ms Mia held my hand every step of the way. Her patience and expertise made it easy for me to earn $38,490 from my initial $5,300, her WhatsApp contact is +13184079133, and you can also reach her on her Email :susandemirors@gmail.com
🤣 the early adopters and devs want to tell you how to ‘like’ and to use nostr as they designed.
So true! It’s not about shaming how people interact, it’s about creating a space where everyone feels good about being themselves. #letpeoplelike
Yeah, zaps are overrated. Not everything has to be about money.
People like to feel seen and heard. If I were to only zap, that would mean a lot less people would get that feeling.
I also routinely go through and like every single freshers post under #introductions and certainly wouldn't zap them as many don't even have wallets setup.
No need to gatekeep or neg someone's preferred level of engagement.
# 👀🇧🇷🤙
Imagine telling people how they must communicate on a freedom protocol. SMH. I think likes are fun and a valuable communication tool and I feel no shame in using them. #onlyzaps purism is just like carnivore purism. If it works for them, great, but I'm going to do what I want.
Agreed, fuck that cornguy with his 10000000 followers, ofcourse likes are meaningless to him. I enjoy every single like, comment, zap, boost, and quote I get on my posts. Also, without likes during the current stage Nostr is in, it would feel even more like you're speaking into a void.
clock that tea
Agreed!
I agree - new users in particular need the like button.
I zapp things that make me laugh, and random other content.. But also use emojis.. Not all notes are worth my SATs!
