Deleted all the games off my phone (except for Hnefatafl and chess). Will not be redownloading them.

Slowly fine tuning life to only be involved in things that are worth my time and energy. It’s an imperfect process. But we will get there.

Respect your discipline. I haven’t deleted apps yet, but I have been using the Liberate app to block websites when I need to focus.

I’ll check that out! I like that idea, and though I’m using focus mode/time limits, Apple has its annoying quirks with it.

My personal discipline is what I have to work hardest at. Work discipline comes much easier for some reason. So personally I need to do hard lines or I’ll get complacent lol

I'm also trying to keep my focus on the essentials right now. Less screentime. My tools are routines. I am in the process of establishing fixed routines that reduce my time on my phone. I haven't deleted any apps yet. Let's see.

Yes! I’ve been working jobs that are so inconsistent routine wise that as I go, the opportunities to find a routine are so valuable and I feel much less frazzled by things.

That makes it harder. I know this, especially since the phone has an important function in my workday. I try to get more structure into the day and that without excluding spontaneity and creativity 😂.

Yes, exactly!

I did the same thing, it’s amazing when you have children how your free time decreases and you become more aware of how you spend it.

I also binned FB, Instagram and Reddit. I now read more again and do the things I like. It’s worth it.

This is becoming an ever more clear realization for me - working towards what you’re describing in freeing up a lot of my time and reinvesting it into them and the things that are joy bringing.

Recently discovered hnefatafl and it's fascinating 😃
