If you actually understood the difference between Bitcoin and all other current forms of money, you’d understand why it has a cult following. Passion is not a negative feature - it’s a requirement for success.

I promise you that is taking place. Bitcoiners are all over the map when it comes to personal beliefs and ideas for what the future should look like. Someone’s cultural background, and existing indoctrination determines what they’re truly hearing within your message. The broader the girth of one’s knowledge and experiences, the more a voice can be used as an instrument. There’s a major difference between listening to understand one’s message verses listening to respond. One of them removes ego.

Bad advocates, you see the dog pile that’s happening right now? That’s what drives people away and makes them think all these guys are a bunch of crazy people. When you see the same reasoning say Bitcoin is the future say that the banks and governments are actively conspiring to ruin quality of life it makes the whole enterprise look unreasonable.

I don’t understand what problem you have with the ‘reasoning’ of Bitcoiners though. It’s really very simply and sane logic. I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but I’ll spell it out one last time for you.
Governments can issue money to fund their desires at no cost, therefore allowing them to potentially act against the will of their constituents while devaluing their citizens currency.
Bitcoin is a system where no government or individual can control the issuance of money, and therefore forces governments to spend responsibly and in accordance to the will of their people, as well as allows everyone around the world to have savings which maintain value over time without investment risk. Since this system is a net benefit over the current one, demand will increase with time. Considering Bitcoins supply is fixed and the new issuance is decreasing, the value of a Bitcoin will increase.
