This is a very interesting and fresh perspective, at least to me, as the media I follow —mostly Lt. Col. Daniel Davis and The Duran— all claim the opposite. They firmly believe that Russia is winning the war, and the conflict will end militarily within the next twelve months.

Also, I find it hard to believe that a nuclear superpower can be defeated militarily... But possibly I'm missing something?

Russia was a nuclear superpower when they were defeated in Chechnya the first time.

Hell, we all defeated the USSR during the Cold war. Multiple times, including Afghanistan. The USSR simply fell apart rather than firing off a single nuke.

There's a good chance that due to economic hardship and internal corruption Russia's nuclear weapons don't even work. And obviously, we have nukes too, and western countries have made clear that they consider any nuclear attack on Ukraine to be a nuclear attack on all of Europe: fallout.

Anyway, you're an idiot for believing a grifter like Davis. As is usual with grifters, he makes money publishing contrarian sounding lies.

I find nothing wrong with making money for providing a service and I find nothing contrarian in what Davis, as many other who follow the conflict closely, are saying.

Good point with Chechnya and Afghanistan but it is hard for me to believe that nuclear weapons were ever an option back then, as it's the case today. If we ever get to that point, every one loses..

There is a lot wrong with making money to provide a service when the people you are paying are using those funds to commit large scale genocides.

It's also a really bad idea: you're finding your enemies.

Which means stop funding the United States and Ukrainian governments as well as the Russian one. They are participating in this genocide.

Corruption doesn't do much to reduce the strength of a government, on the contrary, it often strengthens it. I am entirely unconvinced by this. You seem to not understand the basic economics of the Soviet Union.

Both USA and USRR, both nuclear superpowers where defeated militararly on two occasions. Vietnam and Afghanistan. Both had the strongest economy and military, and both lost
