With respect - that’s not entirely fair.

A discreet particular commitment (free “X”) is far from a general universal good (“healthcare will be fixed@). In this case holding a politician to the particular is easy appropriate and granular.

Voters can look to this one issue as a referendum on the future - just my view

You'll never be able to vote your way out of tyranny.

That is a fair conclusion.

That said tyranny is not black and white but shades of grey.

There is a logical argument to vote for the lightest shade of grey.
