I just finished reading The Blocksize War by Jonathan Bier. What a cool book, every bitcoiner should read it, covers at least 20% of #bitcoin history to date. π€
Discussion
I was there! I managed to KO two major bcrashers.
Did you participate in these events?
Yes, on a daily basis.
Wow must have been insane π€
As I remember, the most insane aspect was the persistence of btrashers that bitcoin was dying and the only way to save it is by increasing block size.
It was really all being led by Ver.
Enjoying your attention, I believe that small blocks are part of the game so that in the future the fees can be enough for miners.
What is your opinion on drive chain? Do you believe that we should be concerned about what the miners revenue will be like in the future?
No, I think we need to give Satoshi Nakamoto the benefit of the doubt and trust his decisions regarding the way bitcoin is. I'm pretty sure all our concerns have already been addressed by "him".
Remember, before bitcoin, nobody knew much about having money used online. It appears "he" knew what he was doing, so IMO, I think we should leave bitcoin the way it is as much as possible.
Thank you for your service ππ
If you donβt have time to read the physical book, the audio version narrated by nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev is excellent.
Great recommendation π€
I'm also reading it with my Korean Bitcoiners on Nostr. We read one chapter every week, and talk about it every Friday on Nostrnests.
This book is like an history class for Bitcoiners. A must-read for everyone who wants to know what Bitcoin is.
Cool these meetings for reading and discussion. I'll think of something for Portuguese speakers.
