Doubt that’s the reason why but that story sounds better. $VOO still brought in $15B yesterday so Vanguard is doing just fine
That’s not the point really. Of course many of their funds will continue to do well — they are a walled garden with locked in participants. Not adding a BTC ETF cost them and shareholders billions in potential losses while now having to chase their competitors if they do come in.
Not to mention they cost their clients significant gains and all of this in two months.
