Idk if it’s unsustainable, and it’s definitely good for privacy. I wouldn’t say edgy so much as diverse. I love the idea of nostr, and would love to see it implemented in so many people’s lives that it would nuter a central authority’s ability to control the internet. Diverse content does that. Bitcoin by itself doesn’t. I pop in occasionally to check on progress with a couple of the different clients. I haven’t seen anything yet to say Nostr is now scalable. It’s currently if we build it they will come, and respectfully that’s a terrible business plan. It doesn’t offer content that a very very very large demographic wants. It’s a bit like saying if we build it they will….shit we forgot the base ball bats. All this to say I offer constructive criticism because I believe in what nostr can do, and would like to see it dominate.

I think nostr is #bitcoin dominated because bitcoiners understand what’s going on globally in relation to suppression through money and speech much more than the average person. In time this will change. There will be more and more diverse groups waking up to the oppression all around us. It’s so early.
