Anyone else have an OG copy of The Anarchist Cookbook?

Got mine in ’92… when I was 12. Read it until it fell apart. The digital version just isn’t the same.

Back then, it was basically treated like contraband. Schools would suspend you, parents freaked out, cops would confiscate it “for safety.”

I need to get another copy.

I had a bootlegged copy of photocopied pages stapled together. No idea what happened to it

I knew I liked you.

Same here! Was just thinking about it the other day.

I remember that from my childhood.

Was an urban legend that would show up occasionally.

I had one too. Not sure where it went.

I always wanted to make a part 2 that taught people how to garden, build their own homesteads and help their community

Love it.

When I read the original post first this was my expectation. A book to teach independence. Not war.

I can not imagine many anarchist philosophs support this violence. But lucky there are always more people intrested in nonviolent cooperation instead of violently getting rid of other opinions and forms of living.

Been looking for a MINUTE. The talk in the reviews say the new version is Nerfed so it's less effective, others talk about the original had recipes and whatnot that were way too dangerous to actually use. Can't tell what's true, but i want it on my shelf all the same.

I remember seeing it online and being scared that the cops were going to kick down my door 🤣

Give it an administration or two and they might. If you're gonna get it, nonKYC for sure.

💯

🍆

👀

Let me know because I want an old copy too lol. Old friend from childhood had one and there was some fun info in there

Terrible instructions for extracting DMT. Allegedly.

Always consult your physician before starting any new diet or exercise program.

Somehow, this image popped in my head of memories 😆

Oh wow... I had one of these!

I am not surprised. 😆

Oh shit I did too lol

I member that 😅

Got my first in late 80's, sadly it has long been lost :(. I have done old CDs I should scrap through one day I guess

I only had electronic copy on disk but as excuse I'll say that I was born in 90' :D

Funny in seventh grade, my friends and I downloaded a copy of this and we're making all kinds of stuff, blowing things up in a desert.

Somebody called the popos on us and like 10 squad cars full of the tards rolled up. Detained us and let us go after they realized we were just a bunch of retarded kids trying to displace air to its fullest extent we could figure how.

Good fun.

Still have all our fingers.

Love it.

I want that book too 😍🔥🚀

Have you tried doing your own batch of bananadine based on this book and manage to get high on it?

I was just thinking about this book the other day. We had a bootleg copied version. I remember my friend burning his hand real bad from a Molotov cocktail we’d made. Good times. In retrospect I wish I’d been reading more about decentralized systems as a teen.

Downloaded my first copy from limewire

Those were the days

Finally download movie....FUCK ITS A PORNO & II HAVE A VIRUS

Never had it but been very curious around 95 - 00 I guess 😅 is it still worthwhile today? (Even from a historian's view cuz that is mine sorta)

Powell put it together when he was 19, and most of it was compiled from open U.S. military and government manuals. He later distanced himself from the book after he found religion and shifted his moral views.

There are some outdated or sketchy parts, sure, and as far as I understand some of the later editions were edited (see my comment for the original glossary from my copy), but that doesn’t mean we throw the baby out with the bathwater. It’s still quite relevant.

Thank you Ava 💜

I just realized you have Poppy as your banner. Nice one. You're quite welcome.

Official member of The Cult of Poppy 🤣

I don't know this book, but now I want to read it.

I attended an Eros society meetup with Ragnar Benson (not his real name) back in the mid 90’s

—He turned me onto paladin press. Its now defunct but it looks as though you can download the digital version of all their books here for $15. They mail you a usb stick.
