A friend of me recently disclosed he got scammed by those fake ''brokers'' who call random people all day. For quite a bit of money too, now he's working as a garbage collector as temporary job...
Ouch! That is bleak, at least his not sitting on his arse about it, and trying to do something, I landed on one of those lists too, and these UK/Dubai numbers would phone me all the time with high pressure sales tactics and I was just not having it, thankfully I wasn't a victim, but there's a scam for everyone, never think you're too smart to fall for one, complacency is the killer
I got rugged using a crappy exchange and in shitcoins and had to learn the hard way too
These scammers calls about investement got on my nerves.
"Can you confirm your email so I can send you information for free? - Fuck no, I'm not comfirming shit, for first tell me where you get my contacts from? ... still there? Hanged up, good."
Lol first of all how did you get my phone number, i didn't sign up for this, and why would I need to invest in assets that outperform the market, but underperform Bitcoin I can hold myself, GFY!!
Tell me about it, my first experience on twitter (many years ago) was a send 1 get 2 back scam 😭 It was late at night and I had easy access to the fucking ledger nano-s, many lessons learned!

When I saw that membership line I was like nah lady you had it coming, if you have a husband which I doubt, but if you do, just let him handle the finances!
I think this extreme case is more of an exeption but there is for sure a general lack of financial education from school and parents.
Even for me, getting out of one of the top tech university which was focused on technics only sometimes far from reality of the field and industries and having a father with a high position in finance that was scared to talk about money because I would have figured out how much he made and it was very taboo in the family...
I was pretty much on my own and made my own mistakes to learn but at last I didn't do the mistake to trust someone else with my money, especially not the banks.
