Iris Desktop is here! No more dependency on Iris.to domain name, hosting provider or internet access. This version doesn't have the autoupdater, so I can't even push broken versions.

Macos, Windows and Ubuntu versions available. They're built by Github CI, so they're unsigned for now. You'll have to override the "unidentified developer" warnings. Mac instructions: https://www.macworld.com/article/672947/how-to-open-a-mac-app-from-an-unidentified-developer.html

This is built on https://tauri.app/. Unlike the current mobile apps which just connect to iris.to, this desktop version is actually "self-hosted". Tauri Mobile is in alpha, I could try it out also.

I find myself having to refresh the page to get the latest feeds. Is there an auto-refresh setting? Both desktop and webpage behave like this. Also, is there a way to filter or possibly auto-translate posts in other languages?
